Jamie Maxwell

Jamie has worked at Karrinyup Physiotherapy since completing her Masters of Physiotherapy at Curtin University. She completed post-graduate studies in Women’s, Men’s & Pelvic Health in 2010, receiving the Continence & Women’s Health Physiotherapy Australia (WA Chapter) prize on graduation.

Jamie’s postgraduate training focuses on the comprehensive assessment, education, and management of pelvic floor disorders. She treats bladder/bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic/coccygeal pain, dysparaenia (pain with intercourse) and the multifaceted changes women experience during the childbearing years.

With experience working in private practice and on the maternity wards within the hospital, Jamie has a particular interest in providing physiotherapy care and support for women throughout their pregnancy, providing early postnatal care and facilitating recovery following vaginal or caesarean delivery, treating breastfeeding issues and assisting women return to exercise after having a baby.

In her spare time, Jamie enjoys keeping fit and spending quality time with her two children, family and close friends.
