Paediatrics is a highly specialised area of physiotherapy, which focuses on creating movement experiences to encourage motor development for babies, children and adolescents.

With an in-depth understanding of gross motor development and biomechanics, our physiotherapist takes a fun approach to rehabilitation, with the use of games, toys and engaging activities to encourage strengthening and confidence to experience movement.  

Our physiotherapist can assist with:

  • Advice and guidance on play activities to encourage developmental milestone acquisition in babies and toddlers
  • Babies having difficulty with tummy time
  • Babies and toddlers showing delay in achieving gross motor milestones
  • Babies with torticollis (tight neck muscle) and/or plagiocephapy (misshapen head)
  • School aged children experiencing difficulties with gross motor skills, posture, balance or co-ordination
  • Hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos syndrome
  • Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
  • Juvenile orthopaedics
  • Rehabilitation after surgery
  • Eating disorders – safe exercise therapy programs, including osteopenia/osteoporosis rehabilitation
